How agents pay

  1. 1. Request. An agent calls an endpoint like any HTTP API — no key, no auth header.
  2. 2. 402 with payment requirements. Without payment, the response is HTTP 402 with the payment requirements the endpoint needs.
  3. 3. Retry with signed payment. The agent retries with a signed USDC payment, which only settles once the call succeeds.
